Ilala Lodge offers distinguished, yet affordable, accommodation in warm elegant African surroundings. The decor evokes an era of early adventure and the quest for discovery in Africa. All the communal guest areas exude a colonial atmosphere with antiques, curios and unusual prints which continue the theme of sophisticated indulgence from days gone by.
Outdoors, it’s all about the Falls, and the spray from this mass of cascading water is visible from most places at Ilala Lodge Hotel. The hotel is ideally situated being the closest to the mighty Victoria Falls as well as the lively town centre. There is no need to enlist the services of a guide to visit this magnificent sight, as the Falls are an easy 20 minute walk from the property, allowing you to admire this natural wonder at your own leisurely pace. The Victoria Falls town is even closer and you will find many entertaining pastimes to enjoy in this dynamic hub of tourism.
The Victoria Falls National Park borders the front of the property and, as such, wild animals often graze on the hotel lawns. Warthogs, in particular, are common visitors and their comical appearance and behaviours are sure to delight and entertain you during your stay.
The two onsite restaurants, The Palm Restaurant and Kubika, will satisfy all your culinary cravings with glorious buffet breakfasts and sensational a la carte menus. Sample Moroccan themed dishes, or else delight your taste buds with international versions of local delicacies such as warthog fillet, crocodile risotto, kudu steaks and crocodile quenelles.
Guests may dine inside in elegant splendour or on the patio overlooking the gorgeous gardens and tranquil surrounding nature.
