1. DO YOU OFFER AIRPORT TRANSFERS TO ILALA LODGE HOTEL?
Yes, we do.
Pick up and drop off to Victoria Falls Airport – US$17 per person each way (approximately 30 minutes drive)
Pick up and drop off to Livingstone Airport (Zambia) – US$40 per person each way (approximately 1 hour)
Pick up and drop off to Kasane Aiport (Botswana) – US$68 per person each way (approximately 1.5 – 2 hours)

2. HOW FAR IS ILALA LODGE HOTEL FROM THE VICTORIA FALLS?
It is a gentle 8 – 10 minute walk, which is only about 936 steps,  from the front door of the hotel. Alternatively, we can arrange a taxi for those less mobile.

3. DO I NEED TO RENT A CAR IN VICTORIA FALLS?
It is not necessary to rent a car in Victoria Falls. We provide airport transfers, inter-hotel transfers and all activities have transfers to and from the hotel included in the cost.

4. DO YOU HAVE WI-FI AT THE HOTEL?
Yes, we do have free Wi-Fi access. You will be given a voucher at check in.

5. DO YOU HOST WEDDINGS AT ILALA LODGE HOTEL?
On occasion, we do host weddings. However, all the rooms in the hotel need to be booked out by the wedding party and wedding guests for a minimum of 2 nights. It is not possible to have non-wedding guests staying at the hotel during the wedding period.

6. DO YOU HAVE MOSQUITO NETS OVER THE BEDS?
Our Classic Suites and Executive Suites will have 4 poster mosquito netting over each bed.  Our Classic Rooms and Deluxe Rooms do not.  However, there are air conditioning units as well as extra mosquito spray and cream available in each room.

7. SHOULD I TAKE MALARIA MEDICATION BEFORE TRAVELLING TO VICTORIA FALLS?
Although Victoria Falls is not considered a  high-risk malarial area, it is advisable to seek advice from your doctor before travelling to the area to be 100% safe.

8. ARE THERE FRIDGES IN THE ROOMS?
Each room is equipped with a minibar fridge.

9. DOES YOUR RESTAURANT CATER FOR VEGANS / KOSHER / VEGETARIANS / HALAAL?
Yes, we can cater for specific nutritional needs.  However, please inform the hotel of your requirements a few weeks in advance so the Chef can ensure we have the correct foods in stock for your arrival.  Our general menu does offer Vegetarian options.

10. ARE THERE ATMS NEAR THE HOTEL?
We recommend you bring small denomination USD cash to Victoria Falls to pay for shops, entrance into the Falls, curios markets etc.

12. WHAT CURRENCIES DO YOU ACCEPT AT THE HOTEL?
We accept US Dollars, Zimbabwe Dollars, Euros, Pounds Sterling and South African Rands. 

13. WHAT CREDIT CARDS DO YOU ACCEPT AT THE HOTEL?
Visa and Mastercard are accepted at the hotel.

14. IS IT POSSIBLE TO ADD AN EXTRA BED TO A CLASSIC ROOM?
Unfortunately, we cannot add an extra bed to a Classic Room.  Our Classic Suites each have a King size bed plus an extra ¾ bed.  Alternatively, for families with children, we can recommend inter-leading Classic or Deluxe Rooms, or the Strathearn Family villa. 

15. DO YOU HAVE FAMILY ROOMS?
There are a number of family options with interleading rooms. Please contact us to find out more.

16. DO YOU OFFER BABYSITTING SERVICES?

A babysitter can be arranged on request. Please advise the hotel at least 24hrs before.

17. HOW CLOSE IS THE HOTEL TO THE CENTRE OF VICTORIA FALLS CITY?
Our hotel is situated in the heart of the Victoria Falls city centre and we are within walking distance of both the cidty and the Victoria Falls waterfall. 

18. HOW MANY ROOMS DO YOU HAVE?
We currently have 73 rooms. 

19. DO YOU HAVE HAIRDRYERS IN THE ROOMS?
All rooms have hairdryers available.

20. WHAT TYPE OF PLUG POINTS DO YOU HAVE AT THE HOTEL AND SHOULD I BRING AN ADAPTOR?
There are universal plug points and USB ports available in all rooms.

21. DO YOU STILL HAVE COVID RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE TO ENTER ZIMBABWE VIA LAND BORDERS OR AIR?
As of June 2023, all COVID-19 restrictions in Zimbabwe have officially been lifted. This means that guests are no longer required to present COVID-19 vaccination certificates upon arrival in the country. In addition, pre-departure testing for unvaccinated travellers is also no longer a requirement. This is applicable to guests entering the country via both land borders as well as international airports.

22. IS THERE A DECLARATION FORM I NEED TO FILL OUT ON ENTRY INTO ZIMBABWE? 

Yes, there is. Stay ahead of the queues by completing the Zimbabwean Immigration Declaration form before you fly.

23. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT VICTORIA FALLS?

24. WHAT DO I NEED TO PACK FOR MY TRIP TO VICTORIA FALLS? 

Light and cool clothing are generally recommended for warmer days, but layers may also be advisable for cooler evenings. Don’e forget your hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
