On the 9th July, our eager team of 15 runners lined up for the start of the Victoria Falls Marathon 2019. This majestic run is a must-do event on the running calendar, and this year attracted thousands of runners from Zimbabwe, South Africa and the region. Many runners contributed to a fundraising effort for Greenline and their Water for Elephants initiative which Ilala Lodge Hotel supported too, raising a total of $600 for the cause!
All the training by our team really paid off on the day, and a special congratulations must go to Miracle Msendo ( 1hr 27mins – place 38), Daluebuhie Moyo ( 1 hr 42 mins – place 93) and Artwell Sibanda ( 1hr 43mins – place 100) for finishing within the top 100 runners out of the whole half-marathon event!
